Celina's countdown clock is ticking. Home Depot opens in three weeks, and Costco and Academy in four. Three of the most anticipated openings in our town's history, all landing within days of each other this August.
This issue also takes you inside a corner of Celina you may not know about yet: a growing medical corridor at Creekside Celina Office Park, plus a fresh round of signage popping up across town. Add in a couple of new openings since our last issue, plus a full lineup of businesses planning to open their doors in the next 30 days, and there's a lot to get into.

What's Changed
Construction at Home Depot is essentially complete. The parking lot striping, landscaping, and the "Coming Soon" signage are all in place and unchanged since our last update. And with the grand opening just three weeks out, all that remains is final stocking, employee training, and opening preparations.

Costco's exterior is in its finished state, signage lit, landscaping in place, parking lot striped and ready. With the grand opening under 4 weeks out, the action has shifted inside, where crews are stocking shelves and finalizing the last preparations before doors open.

What's Changed
Sod has filled in around the entrance and the construction equipment that was staged out front has largely cleared out. The parking lot remains unstriped, one of the last visible steps before opening. Inside, crews are in the final stretch of shelving and stocking, with August 28th just 4 weeks away.

Construction crews have poured the concrete for the perimeter driveway - the first visible construction after months of graded dirt. The main building pad, however, remains unpoured and is the next major milestone for this project.

Costco opens August 26th at the Village at Ownsby Farms, bringing bulk groceries, electronics, appliances, and more under one roof. With the store now under 4 weeks from opening, we'll be keeping an eye out for membership or opening day promotions.

Club Pilates opens August 27th at Celina Summit Crossing, the NEC of Preston & Glendenning, with member classes beginning August 31st at 6:00 AM. The studio offers low-impact Pilates classes for all levels, built around reformer, mat, and equipment-based formats.

Hometown Paws brings a premium dog daycare and boarding experience to Celina, still on track for an August opening with no official date confirmed yet. We'll share the exact opening date as soon as it's announced.

Fourteen Eighteen Coffee is officially open at Celina Station. Known for specialty lattes, seasonal drinks, matcha, cold brew, and fresh pastries, the shop has built a loyal following at its Downtown Plano and Prosper locations, and now brings that following home to Celina.

Mavis Tires & Brakes is now open at the NWC of Preston & Frontier. One of the nation's largest independent tire retailers, Mavis offers tires, brakes, alignments, oil changes, batteries, and suspension services all under one roof.

Knockouts Haircuts & Grooming is now open at The Creeks at Celina. The sports-themed men's salon offers haircuts, beard trims, and grooming services in a no-appointment-needed format.

Celina's first and long-awaited Chipotle opened its doors on July 7th. The location does feature a "Chipotlane" for convenient mobile order pickup.

What We Know
New signage has gone up across Celina over the past few weeks, an early but reliable signal of businesses closing in on their openings.
* Celina Nail Lounge - a boutique nail salon located at Celina Summit Crossing, the NEC of Preston & Glendenning
* Desi District - an Indian street food eatery + grocery store located just west of Central Plaza, the NWC of Preston & Frontier
* NexLevel Living - a local home renovation company located at Heritage Business Park, the SWC of Louisiana & Carthage
* Burn Boot Camp - a high-intensity, group workout gym located at Heritage Business Park, the SWC of Louisiana & Carthage
What to Watch
None of these businesses have announced official opening dates yet, but permanent signage is typically one of the last visible steps before doors open. We'll keep tracking each of these and share updates as soon as dates are confirmed.
Creekside Celina Office Park - The New Medical & Professional Corridor
What We Know
Creekside Celina Office Park, located off of Preston between John Campbell & Laughlin, is shaping up to be a one-stop shop for medical and wellness care, with a wave of new signage recently going up across the property. These are the latest additions to the district, joining Creekside's growing lineup of healthcare providers.
* Astoria Health; internal medicine, metabolic health, longevity care
* Celina Primary Pediatric Care; pediatric medicine
* Injectology; aesthetics, injectables
* Preferred Dermatology; dermatology
What to Watch
The medical corridor taking shape now is just the beginning. Creekside Celina's master plan calls for 12 buildings total, with room for up to 60 businesses across the site, though some spaces may combine into larger suites rather than the full 60 being realized. According to the latest leasing flyer from the CRE firm marketing the property, 8 suites have been leased so far, with 20 medical office suites and 32 professional office suites still available at full buildout.
These spaces are moving fast, so we'll keep an eye out for any new tenants.
