Project Details

Dennard’s, an outdoor, farm, and ranch store, has registered a project with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) for 1035 S. Oklahoma Dr. State filings listed construction from August 17, 2026 to June 25, 2027 for a 24,000 sq. ft. store, but work had not started as of October 2026. A build that size takes the better part of a year, so the opening is forecast for Q4 2027. The site is near the planned DATCU branch on S. Oklahoma Dr.

District Highlights

Downtown Celina is the historic town square and the blocks around it, centered on Pecan Street, Ohio Drive, and Louisiana Drive, plus the S. Oklahoma Drive corridor running south toward Celina Station. The city is in the middle of a roughly $96 million redevelopment that started with a 400-space parking garage, completed in late 2025, and continues with the Downtown Center, a civic building for city offices and a larger public library forecast to open in February 2027.

Private projects are following. City Council approved Nack Development’s Trackside Junction at 111 W. Pecan St. in July 2026 and a $7.5 million redevelopment of 102 N. Ohio St. and the Mayer Building in September, and a plan to turn the block next to the square into a public plaza went before the council in June. Kid Approved Pediatrics is finishing its building on E. Pecan Street.
