Downtown District Information
Downtown Celina is the historic town square and the blocks around it, centered on Pecan Street, Ohio Drive, and Louisiana Drive, plus the S. Oklahoma Drive corridor running south toward Celina Station. The city is in the middle of a roughly $96 million redevelopment that started with a 400-space parking garage, completed in late 2025, and continues with the Downtown Center, a civic building for city offices and a larger public library forecast to open in February 2027.
Private projects are following. City Council approved Nack Development’s Trackside Junction at 111 W. Pecan St. in July 2026 and a $7.5 million redevelopment of 102 N. Ohio St. and the Mayer Building in September, and a plan to turn the block next to the square into a public plaza went before the council in June. Kid Approved Pediatrics is finishing its building on E. Pecan Street.

District Highlights
Downtown Center
A $59 million civic building with city offices and a library of about 20,000 sq. ft. Structural concrete was done in July 2026, with an opening forecast for February 2027.
Trackside Junction
A Nack Development project at 111 W. Pecan St., approved in July 2026, with a four-story retail and office building and a second building with retail below homes.
Ohio Street and Mayer Building
A $7.5 million project approved in September 2026, with a two-story, 12,400 sq. ft. building at 102 N. Ohio St. and a restaurant in the restored Mayer Building.
Enhanced Square
A June 2026 plan would turn the block bounded by Pecan, Colorado, Walnut and Ohio into a public space with a boardwalk, an event lawn and shade structures.
Kid Approved Pediatrics
A pediatric clinic at 408 E. Pecan St. with its brick exterior nearly complete as of October 2026 and an opening forecast for Q1 2027.
Now Open
Celina Blooms & Gifts opened on the square at 306 N. Louisiana Dr. on March 24, 2026. The 400-space downtown parking garage was completed in late 2025.
