What’s Changed: The concrete shell is now fully erected, with all major exterior wall panels now standing.
Next Milestone: Look for roof installation and interior structural steel work to begin next.

Target Opening: Late Q4 2026
What’s Changed: Foundations are officially taking shape, and the complex utility and drainage network is nearing completion.

White Rhino Out at Celina Summit Crossing
What We Know: White Rhino Coffee was slated as an end-cap tenant at the Preston & Glendenning development, but the developer recently updated their site plan brochure and the formerly occupied space is now available again.
What To Watch: With the exterior shell inching towards completion, we anticipate new tenants to quickly fill out the remaining 3 spaces. Stay tuned for announcements.
Is Celina Getting a Tom Thumb?
What We Know: The Weitzman Group is developing a plot of land at the SEC of Dallas Parkway and Punk Carter. Their site plans indicate at least 3 retail spaces, with one of those currently earmarked as a 63,000 sqft. Tom Thumb.
What To Watch: Planned tenants at this stage are never considered ‘final’. So while early indications lean towards a ‘Yes’ on the Tom Thumb, we will have to continue monitoring those documents for any updates.
Village at Ownsby Farms - Phase III
What We Know: While Costco and the front strip of retail shops have been getting all of the attention as of late, the developers at the Village at Ownsby Farms have quietly been making significant progress on the third phase of the site. Academy, specifically, has already seen rapid movement on the vertical shell construction.
What To Watch: Phase III will be towards the rear of the district and will include Academy, Petsmart, Touchdown Taphouse, and several more businesses. Keep an eye out for construction updates and tenant confirmations and/or shakeups.

We asked Celina residents “Beyond Food and Fitness, What ‘Experience’ Business Does Celina Need Most?” It looks like I wasn’t the only one to take time off as we only received 12 submissions this go around. But nevertheless, here are the results of the latest poll:

It’s a dead heat between the putting green and the pickleball court! Even with a smaller “flash poll” this week, it’s clear that Celina residents are looking for more “active” weekend options to keep the family entertained within city limits.

It’s been a whirlwind two weeks for Celina Watch. We officially cleared the 900 subscriber milestone and just sailed past 2,800 followers on Facebook. I started this project to cut through the noise of Celina’s growth, and seeing so many of you engage with these updates makes the late-night and weekend research all worth it. Thank you for making The Blueprint a part of your “every other” Friday morning routine. It’s a privilege to be your eyes on the ground.
